Ahh Pro sports. Football, basketball and baseball all interest me. I supose Im one of the few spiritualy oriented people who find sports of any kind attractive. I was born in Houston Texas, and raised here, so I am a fan of the local teams, though there are many teams here, I only follow a few of them, here is the rundown.

• Houston Rockets - NBA
• Houston Astros - Major League Baseball
• Houston ThunderBears - Arena Football
• Houston Texans - NFL Expasion franchise 2002

Houston used to be home to a football team called the Oilers. They moved to Tennessee in 1996, and a couple of years ago became the Titans. The Oilers were probably best known for names like Earl Campbell, Bum Phillips, and Warren Moon, though the team posted several great seasons, winning the first two AFL championships in 1960 over the L.A. Chargers, then in 1961 over the San Diego Chargers, they never reached the Super Bowl, and never reached the AFC championship after 1980. Before the team left they posted consecutive divisional losses, and blown leads against Denver 26-24 (1992), Buffalo 41-38 OT (1993) and Kansas City 28-20 (1994). After that the team was hurt by freeagency and later moved on.

As a side-bar you might remember the so called 'Music City Miracle' (1999), where the Tennesee Titans defeated the Buffalo Bills on a kickoff return and a questionable lateral pass in the closing seconds of an AFC Wild Card game.. I mention this here because it was the first time the former Oilers hadn't colapsed under pressure, AND it is now a part of NFL history.

I've been into sports since 1991, when I bought a video game called John Madden Football, it's been an interesting ride and despite the corporate welfare that goes into the stadiums and the over-paid players, the games are still fun to watch.
